There has been much grief
A need for a substitute relief
A child born, a child died
All under a bomb-shattered sky
To understand it all, we cannot
Pain and suffering, it has brought
‘Why’ is all we can ask
All we get is their mask
How much more can they kill?
Has time stood still?
A limbless child, deprived of his future
All under a sky of vultures
Listen to their cries
Under that same shattered sky
Are you that naive and blind?
Not even a compassionate mind?
As you sleep at night
Pray with might
Your conscience will not sleep
Into your soul, it will creep
Remember the pain you’ve caused
Remember all your flaws
Children who now cannot see
Is all what they can be
I hope one day, you will know
All you've brought is sorrow
When it comes back to you
Don’t be shocked, you already knew
