Woohoo!

I got the day off for today! Wheeyay!

Hmm, now how am I going to spend my lovely day? It's raining outside and the weather is simply divine. Cooling and all.

For now, I've made some plans to have lunch with Seb, JJ and Zila. Thought of watching a movie this evening but will see how it goes.

Oh well, I'm off to get ready. Cheers!

Roll Out The Welcome Wagon

Da Boss is finally back. Well, he came back last Saturday actually. And so, that means my partying week days are over. Started work again yesterday and well, as usual, the stress too, has started.

Today was exceptionally stressful as I had to run up and down to deliver stuff for him early in the morning. He was in a foul mood which, didn't make it any better.

I finally got my camera back from Xavie (I left it with her when I was in Frangi last week) and I guess I should be uploading the pics into my comp real soon.

For some reason, I'm craving for beers.

REALLY craving for them.

Especially today as boss really stressed the crap out of me. I had to run up and down way too early in the morning. I mean, c'mon, I've not even fully awaken yet. Give face lah.

Sigh.

Beers anyone?

Birthday Shoutout

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish my beloved brother, Aaron a Happy 25th Birthday! (birthday on 26th November). Hope you had fun getting sloshed at Bojangles / Breakers last night :)

Don't worry, your pressie will come very soon heh heh heh. Hope you have many more birthdays to come.

PS: For the rest of you, he IS my brother and yes, I know we look different :P

Hoo Boy

Well, hello to all you peeps again. I know, I've not been blogging for the past couple of days mainly because it has been one helluva week for me. Getting drunk lah, what else? :)

Let's see, where shall I begin?

Ah, yes, I've finally installed a CD player in my car (the Wira) after much agonizing. I can now finally listen my fave CDs instead of my iPod. I used to use my iPod to accompany me on my driving trips but now I get to listen to all my CDs while driving. Those who know me will know how fat my CD album has become - literally gonna break apart. Nyeh heh heh.

Blaupunkt rawks!

I also got my car a 10-disk CD holder. I mean, no point keeping the cassette player, right? I traded in the old cassette player for this Blaupunkt beau. Sweet, eh? Everything for a good price of RM399.

Though the beginning of the week wasn't much to shout about, my crazy days started on Friday night where I got very drunk. VERY.

As usual, me, Eu Jin aka Hogs (my cousin), Emily and Seb were at Terrace Bar for our fix of beers. We got there rather early but it didn't matter. We got our seats and soon, our 2 jugs came and began to guzzle. I know, we've been frequenting the place pretty often. I'm apparently a regular face there as of now. Santos, our waiter recognised me and commented how well I can drink. Well, he hasn't seen the aftermath yet haha!

It got pretty boring after a while since there wasn't much action at such an ungodly hour so, we decided to head to Liquid (yes, again) to continue our drinking. Friday nights at Liquid are rather quiet which, is good since none of us are looking to meeting anyone anyway.

We got our buckets of beers and continued our drinking session. An hour into LQ, we got rather high and soon, our voices were a few decibels higher than usual. Normal lah. As if by default, I was itching for a Flaming Lamborghini. So, started lah. Ordered one and off I went and got my throat burned and perhaps a few nostril hairs. Soon, Emily and Eu Jin got one each too. Seb didn't want one. Maybe Flamings are not good enough for him. Haha! Just kidding :)

And as the night progressed, we were all flying high and I was seeing stars. Plenty of them. Heck, I saw a whole universe. With comets and all. So there I was running around like a mad cow on ecstacy and talking to random people and scaring the Dunhill chick.

As the night was coming to an end, I ordered another Flaming and again, burnt a couple more nose hairs and maybe some eyebrow. The bartender and waiters were cheering me on as if it was my birthday. I was choking hairballs after the second one.

Then, one of the PR guys (I think), offered to buy me a drink. I mean, what the heck, so I went along with it. He introduced me to a cocktail called Flaming Turkey. It's similar to a Flaming Lamborghini but without the milk or other mixers - just plain NEAT spirit! I drank like the supposed macho fool I was and since then, I think I've damaged my oesophagus. The bloody drink stung like a bee! Hell, it was baaaaaaad. All I remember after that was cussing the guy (in a good / fun / stupid way) all the way. Haha! 'Twas awesome nonetheless.

Least to say, the next day, I was hung over like a beeyatch upon waking up. The day moved rather slowly. I felt dazed and sleepy throughout.

I napped for a bit in the evening as Xavie twiddled around with my PC. Woke up from my nap but still felt likeI had a boulder on my eyes. I struggled to remain conscious haha!

Went for a Raya open house at Jay Jay's sister's (Diana) place in Kelana Mahkota. Food was good and the place was cozy. So cozy, I felt like sleeping.

After many hours of hanging out there, I made my way home to get ready to head out to Frangipani with Xavie, Kartini and Eileen. Picked Alif up and off we went.

Didn't enjoy myself much at Frangi due to fatigue. Barely slept the previous night from all the drinking. The air-cond in Frangi was set on Blizzard mode which, made me more sleepy. Stupid.

2:00AM or so, Alif and I made our way for home. We got home all safe and sound and next thing I knew, I knocked out like a log.

Yes, my liver is begging me for mercy. But, guess what? I'm itching for a cold one RIGHT NOW :)

Fix You (Lyrics)

By: Coldplay
Album: X & Y

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down on your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I

Tears stream down on your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.

Aarrgghh!!

Oh blimey!

I've been wanting to watch Hallmark's Merlin (1998) for ages now. It's the best movie made by them. I like it particularly for the actors - Sam Neill (Merlin) and Miranda Richardson (Mab and Lady of The Lake).

So I went on a torrent search for the movie and the search results revealed more than one.

Damn.

How will I know which is the one I want?

Guess I would have to download a few of them and watch to see if it's correct.

And so, the downloads began and everything was going awesome. Then one of the Merlin files was at 99.6%.

And then it STOPPED!

AAARRRGGHHH!! Just another 0.4% till it's done but noooOOoo, no one was seeding it. Sigh.

What to do? I just gotta leave it in my tasks. This was last night.

Today, I woke up hoping to see 'Task completed'.

But what did I see? 99.9%!!!! OMFG!

I'm sure a lot of you share my frustration. It's just another 0.1% and it stops! Bah humbug. And I sure can't delete it since the file size is 1.51GB and it would be a waste to do so.

Heavy sigh.

Guess I gotta leave it in a while longer T_T

Ode To My Liver

This is a rather belated post. One of the reasons why I'm feeling a wee bit wonky today is simply because I got so freaking drunk yesterday evening with me good mate, James in Olde Tavern, Hartamas.

Yup.

It was supposed to be our lil "tea" time in Hartamas. Helluva tea-time it was. One would expect karipaps and some kuihs along with a nice glass of hot teh tarik to wash it down.

Oh, how I was wrong.

It all started around 4PM or so. I arrived in Olde Tavern after much searching for the place thanks to James' wonderful directions hehe. I managed to find the place cozily hidden away from the main road.

Sat my ass down and got myself a mug of beer as a starter as I waited patiently for James to arrive. About 20 minutes after, he arrives and...

Let the drinking begin!

Without skipping a beat, James ordered a jug for the both of us and we started drinking our asses away. I bought the second jug and by this time, I was flying high and started to see stars. I can't really recall the nonsense I said.

Around 6:45PM or so, we decided to head back and since I didn't drive (cousin dropped me there), he had to send my drunken ass home. It was raining the whole time and as you know, Malaysians have a fetish for rain. It's kinda like a default thing to do when it rains - jam up the roads regardless if there was an accident or not.

And so, here you have 2 drunken fellows trying to make it through the rain and jammed up roads. We stopped at Caltex somewhere in TTDI to take a leak. We got in the toilet and to our amazement, the toilet was freaking beautiful! It looked as if it was a hotel toilet or something. Really nice.

Done with our business, we continued our journey to send me home. Finally, we arrived at my place and he dropped me off and headed for home.

Everything was alright with me. Just that I couldn't see anything as my eyes were close to closing. Had my dinner and watched TV for awhile. The whole time, trying to keep my head up cos mom was watching TV too. Not sure if she noticed I was plastered.

Thinking that I was ok to walk, I decided to go upstairs to take a shower. Gosh, it was such a chore! The alcohol took its toll and soon I felt a puke revving its ugly head.

Ugh.

I immediately stopped moving around and laid down on my bed. I had hell trying to supress my puke. I thought to myself, "I better head to the bathroom to take a shower in case I need to puke". I quickly undressed and headed for the shower. The whole time, I was basically absent-mindedly showering. God knows what I did in the shower.

Got out ok from the shower; didn't puke. Good. Quickly made my way to my room and got changed and laid down for a bit. Phew! Made it!

After much rest, I went downstairs to watch some TV and I was pretty much ok after that. Although, I kept tasting beer in between burps. Bleh. Ugh.

Lazy

For the past 3 days, it has been rather lazy for me. The weather's screwing up my biological clock. I wake up, feeling like it's 8AM and when I look at the clock, it's freaking 12PM! The weather we are currently having does not whatsoever resemble the time.

Even after lunch today, I looked at the sky and thought to myself, "Hmm, nice morning we're having". But I was rudely brought back to reality when the clock showed 2:38PM!

Sigh.

Since I've been feeling lazy, I've been playing Kingdom Hearts like nobody's business. This game makes my want to gouge my eyes out with a hot object. It's fun but it bears helluva lot of frustration. For one, the camera angles. You can whack all these monsters but once the camera gets stuck behind a building, you become literally blind. And you get all these pot-bellied monsters coming after you to belly-bump you. Eesh.

What appeals to me about this game is the fusion of Disney characters and Squaresoft. In my current party, I have Donald Duck (mage) and Goofy (supposedly a Knight). Throughout the game, you visit many of Disney's famous movie landmarks (also, their respective characters and baddies) such as Agrabah from Aladdin, Wonderland from Alice In Wonderland and the Coliseum from Hercules. That's just to name a few. I've yet to visit Ariel from The Little Mershit.. Uh I mean, mermaid. You also get to see Squaresoft's Final Fantasy characters.

Though you will encounter most of Disney's characters, the game retains Squaresoft's gameplay. Its made by Squaresoft, anyway. For example, you get to cast familiar spells from Final Fantasy games such as Blizzara, Fira, Thundara etc.

All in all, the game is pretty awesome but can get really frustrating. When I say really frustrating, I mean REALLY frustrating. I can't count the many times I've tried pulling my scalp off from fighting Cerberus (three-headed canine from Hercules) and Jafar from Aladdin.

Bloody fools -_-

You also get to revisit old Disney movies such as Snow White, Cinderella etc. Ofcourse, you also get their baddies such as the Queen Bitch, Maleficent from Snow White. She's pure evil, I tell ya. I'm sure her brother's name is Beelzebub or something.

Enough rambling of the game. I'm just bored cos my dad commandeered the TV so the TV can watch HIM thus, I can't play.

Grrr.

Recuperation

Aah.. After many days of drinking, I've been recuperating nicely at home without alcohol and listening to Il Divo's latest album, Ancora. All Il Divo fans should get their latest album and those who aren't really into them should give it a try. Not too bad.

Today was a rather easy day. Woke up rather late since I slept at 3AM after playing Kingdom Hearts on PS2. The game's driving me nuts. It's kinda cool how they fused Disney characters with that of Squaresoft (makers of Final Fantasy series) characters. Cool but very frustrating at some points.

Had brunch with my dear ol' cousin Hogz aka Eu Jin at our regular Babi Shop and headed for home. Stayed in since then till now. Haven't had a rather eventful day but then again I'd like to take it easy for the day since I felt sorta wonky yesterday.

I've been meaning to blog about Friday's drinking escapade in Terrace Bar but been too lazy to do so haha! Well, I'll blog about it when I feel like it and when I've constructed the sentences in my head properly. Hey, even bloggers need to think before posting. Especially, me. Bleh.

KENT Exclusive Party

Last night was a blast at the Swedish Marque where the new KENT cigarette packaging was launched. Or was it? My friends and I were too busy getting sloshed from all the free flow of drinks that we didn't even realise that there was a launch. After a couple of hours into the night, suddenly, people were holding the new KENT cigarettes and we were like, "When did they launch it?".

No one bothered. Lol!

We were all enthused by the amount of free flow of beer and liquor. Ahh.. 'Twas heaven, I tell ya. Though it was an exclusive party (by invitation only), I was pretty shocked by the amount of people that showed up for the party. Looks like KENT is still going strong despite the ban on advertising of tobaccos in Malaysia. Sweet.

The party was so exclusive, we were NOT allowed to smoke other brands other than KENT or we'd get kicked out of the party! Serious shit. Not even Dunhill or any British American Tobacco range. They meant business. For that, I had to buy a pack of KENT 9's for the bloody event. I hate KENT cigarettes. Even if it's 9's (supposedly to be the strongest variant), it tastes like Marlboro Lights. Oh well. Shouldn't complain since we have unlimited booze.

There were dancers that showcased some moves and some eye candy but no one really bothered. Even the loyal KENT smokers were more engrossed in little conversations and ofcourse, FREE BOOZE.

The Ladies
(L - R: Audrey, Stephanie & Xavie)

The Men
(L - R: Zai, Me the Doofus & JJ)

The Beautiful Mofos
KANTOI! Me and my specs. I look old.

>_<

Lucky for me, a good friend of mine, Tamara worked as one of the bar girls at the event. She really made sure our drinks had the extra / deserved 'Oomph!'. Least to say, my friends and I were flying high an hour or two into the party.

As much as I wanted to get drunk by the insurmountable booze, I couldn't, sadly. Why? My dear ol friend JJ was freaking drunk and I had to drive the lil twat home. Grrr. And so, I restricted myself from over-drinking and getting all horny. Damn.

Everyone who attended the party were all looking smart and beautiful - BEFORE getting sloshed, that is. After having the 9th beer / liquor or so, they were pretty much your average thani gelegang Joe / Jane.

Left the party around 1:40AM or so and made way for MY home. I've decided to ask JJ to just crash out at my place for he was in NO condition to be driving or walk, for that matter. We decided to head to a mamak near my place for some Limau Ais to wash down the alcohol. The fool was so drunk, he bloody SLEPT at the mamak while I indulged myself in Nasi Lemak Ayam. "Aiyah, this fucker cannot make it already", I thought to myself.

Couple of minutes later, we decided to call it a night and headed back to my place. Got home all safely and before I knew it, JJ fell asleep like the big baby he is :P

Ahh.. Wish I could relive last night's party once again. I'll post the pics up on my Multiply homepage when I get the time.

The Wonders Of Antibiotics

It's been awhile since I ranted about me aching tooth. As you know, I was prescribed some pain killers and antibiotics and lo and behold, the aching has subsided. So has the swelling.

I'm so happy that I can finally eat again! Yay for me! I tell ya, it has been pure hell since the start of my aching tooth. But now, I'm pleased to say that my tooth has improved tremendously and I can finally talk more. Yeah, I can almost hear the "Oh Nos" echoing from your minds. -_-

Sidetracking, yesterday was the first day I put on my new pair of glasses to combat my astigmatism and short sightedness. Abes is going blind, people. Also, going all geeky. I feel odd having a piece of glass in front of my eyes. I feel... restricted. But heck, at least I look good (so I've been told) Muahahaha!

I have a pic of myself wearing them but I'm not going to post them up here for it may cause shock and horror to some. LOL. Perhaps you'll get to see me wearing them one day.

Funny thing happened when I was getting my glasses made. I got my eyes tested and I carefully explained to the lady that my astigmatism is causing me problems when driving at night. I mean, the lights glare like I'm looking at the sun directly. Naturally, my corneas hurt for taking in too much light.

She didn't seem to understand what I was saying.

Me: Yeah, I need a pair of glasses with coated lens to cut down the glare from lights when driving at night.
Her: Uh ya, this one is good. You needs coated lens to brock out light.

(WTF?! Isn't that what I just said?)

Me: Ahuh, yeah. So, do you have a good one?
Her: (Ignoring my question) Check your eyes in the room there
Me: Uhh ok (starts to walk towards the room)
Her: Eh eh but now no. Cos the guy busy.

(HAR? What are you trying to say, woman?)

Me: Umm. (sits like a fool on the stool)
Her: Ah ok. I give you good idea for driving at night.

(She walks off to get her good idea -_-)

Meanwhile, Seb and I were exchanging puzzled looks.

Her: Ahh. You can wear these at night for driving.
Me: (Looks at her good idea) O_O!!
Her: You see here, when night, can put this on. Then day, can take off.
Me: Err those are detachable SUNGLASSES!
Her: Ha, ya. Very good to brock out light.
Me: Uh, I need something to block out GLARE not LIGHT. I'd crash the car if I can't see light.
Her: *blink blink*
Me: Tell you what, just get my eyes checked and we'll see how it goes.
Her: Good idea.

O_O"

Like, HELLO?! Do you or do you not know what you're saying, woman? I mean, how hard can it be for her to understand that all I need is a pair of glasses to reduce glare, not sunglasses to blind me at night, imbecile.

Eesh.

And so, after much agonizing with the woman, I got my pair of glasses and whoopdeedoo, I now look like an uncle / geek / nerd / bookworm / Harry Potter.

Harry Potter Dan Gelas Berapi

*Cinema goers bursts out with laughter*

It's pretty funny how they translate titles of movies these days. For example, how Lord of The Rings was translated to Tuan Cincin -_-

On to Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire. I must say, though I've not read a single book of Harry Potter, I'd say (as a non-Potter reader) that this is the best Harry Potter film made. It had more magic and definitely more special effects. I'm not going to provide an elaborate review on the movie but I do recommend you guys to watch it for the special effects. For the avid readers of the story, the storyline was nothing much to shout about.

There were few parts of the movie where the story just hung and pretty much didn't make sense. But then again, I've never read the book so I guess it's my fault for not understanding the movie. Pssh. I don't care. I only watch Harry Potter films for its special effects, costumes and Hermione. She hot, no? Young, but you can see the Eva Longoria in her that will blossom one of these days.

To my dismay, Hermione (Emma Watson) in The Goblet of Fire, for some reason, couldn't act! Very disappointing, really. It's as if she's trying TOO hard to bring out the character of Hermione. BUT she did appear in a gown with a lowcut neckline. You can see 'em budding roses, ifyaknowotimean *wink*

The Goblet of Fire brings together 2 other schools of magic whose names I cannot recall for they sounded like French gourmet dishes; to compete in the Triwizard Tournament - a tournament that can be fatal if not experienced enough. Hogwart's school of magic seem to be a co-ed school whereas the other 2 schools are boys and girls respectively. Quite cool. I like the all girls one, naturally. Their principal was freaking TALL! Taller than Hagrid! One helluva tall WOMAN.

The general rule to this tournament is that 3 - one from each school will be selected by the Goblet of Fire to compete in this tournament. And no one under the age of 17 are allowed to compete. Potter is ofcourse, underaged but you know lah, if Potter was not mysteriously chosen by some dark art, there wouldn't be a storyline now, would it? Oh the suspense! *rolls eyes*

So basically, the story revolves around this tournament and how Potter meets the newly resurrected Lord Voldermont who looks like Aquaman or some Orang Ikan or whatever. Seriously, he looked like a fish. And the storyline unfolds from one part of the tournament to another. I'm not going to spoil the movie for all of you. Just go watch it for the all girls school students and the amazing special effects.

Oh oh, not forgetting this new English-Asian chick (don't know her real name, nor do I want to bother to find out) who plays Cho in the movie. Now, she's supposed to be Potter's crush. She's very cute and all. Until she opened her mouth....

Harry: Cho!

Cho: Harree

Harry: Uh, would yew loike tew go th' dahnce wi' me?

Cho: Bot, oh, Harree, someone's asked me

Harry: (disappointed) Oh. Well, it's cool. No problem.

Cho: Harree, Oi'm rreally sorree.

It's either she's Irish OR her cockney accent was just too bloody thick! I had a problem understanding her at that particular scene. Bah.

All in all, I think the film was pretty well made and I wouldn't mind watching it the second time for the special effects. Oh, mind you that The Goblet of Fire is scarier than the previous Potter films and I personally think it would be scary for 12 year olds. I mean, seriously, this time there were deaths and scary merpeople. REALLY freakish looking merpeople. You so don't wanna mess with them.

Abes The Maid

I'm such a lovely brother. I actually helped my clean my bro's sad excuse for a room WITHOUT him asking me. Aahh.. Aren't I nice?

Well, basically, I was bored outta my skull PLUS I was itching to clean something. Walking pass my bro's room, I took a glance at it and seized the opportunity to hone my maid skills. Now, you must understand that my bro's room is REALLY messy!

Before

And so, the cleaning process began. I know, at some parts of the room, I merely shifted and organised the things around but that's because I can't just throw anything away as my bro's not around. Hence, I only managed to make the room presentable. Had I been given a free reign over the room, it'd be sparkling by now -_-

Choking on THICK particles of dust, I managed to organise his receipts, loose documents and such. While I was clearing his pile of clothes, I was shocked and amazed he had SO MANY pairs of pants / jeans!! More than me! Folded them and stacked them nicely by the side of his room.

After much deliberation and perseverence, the result was far better than the state the room was in before my magical hands touched it. And since he smokes in the room, I took the liberty to provide him with an ashtray from MY room! I'm so sweet! ^^

Voila!

After

Before you guys start making requests for me to go over to YOUR place to clean up, think again. My cleaning spree comes with the season. I might make your room far worst than what it was in. Muahaha!

Newsflash: I need to wear glasses >.<

I'm So Fucking Miserable!

Yes I am!

Tooth has been bugging me the whole day. Poor me, I couldn't have lunch properly. Only finished LESS than half of it simply because I can't chew. Guess this is what it feels like to be old and have no teeth -_-

Ofcourse, since I barely ate a damn thing, I was hungry and dizzy the whole day till dinner came. Had porridge, YAY! Finally, something that didn't require aggressive chewing.

I did go to the dentist earlier today to get my damn gums checked and I was told that the tooth may not come out properly.

O_O!!

WHAT?! That means I would have to get it extracted! NooOOoooOOOoo! I don't want to get it extracted cos that would mean:

1) INJECTIONS
2) INJECTIONS
3) INJECTIONS
4) Incissions
5) Using power tools to remove the tooth from its roots
6) Stitching back my gums
7) Bleeding..

She immediately recognised my face of disbelief / shock / fear / constipation and told me that if I want, she would give me some medication for the time being and see what happens. I opted for that, ofcourse. I mean, I wasn't ready to have my mouth invaded with silvery, shiny objects that resemble anal probes from an alien spacecraft.

Heck, no.

Paid 20 bucks for the checkup and the meds and happily made my way home. I REALLY do hope the meds work and reduce the swelling. The swelling is so bad, I'm having a sore throat as well. Sigh.

Maybe I need beer... -_o

I'm Annoyed

Here's why I'm annoyed:

1) Tooth ache due to wisdom tooth

2) My PC reboots on its own

3) Warm weather

4) Mosquitoes

5) Tooth ache

6) Miserable due to tooth ache

7) Internet connection slower than usual

8) PC slow

9) The thought of reformatting my PC. AGAIN!

10) Tooth ache

Isn't Malaysia Just Sweet?

Here is an article that I would like all of you to read - ESPECIALLY if you are a Malaysian. It is rather long but I assure you, you would be so disturbed / angered that you wouldn't notice the length of the article.

I really do urge all of you to learn about your RIGHTS as a Malaysian and what the police can and CANNOT do.

I personally found the article to be VERY disturbing and it angered me so much that I would like the victim(s) to sue the police force (and I really hope they do).

A Story of Corruption and Police Abuse

Sidetracking, a couple were beaten up by Zouk Bouncers on the night of the Halloween party. Here is their story:

OH MY GOD!!

Oh no!!! Something's wrong with my camera!! My trusty camera! My beloved friend!

For some reason, the display screen does not show anything when I turn on the camera. That means I cannot see what I'm taking and how it would look like!

Why? Why does this have to happen to me?!

It was working fine earlier on and now it's not! I'm crushed. I want to cry. My life is over. This is my one and only digital camera and it was a birthday gift from Shai. *cries*

T_T

Someone please tell me that this is a minor problem and can be easily fixed. My poor Canon IXUS i.

Oh wait a minute O_O. OH WOW! I got it to work somehow! Oh yes! Life is good again!

(Talks to camera) Don't you ever scare me like that again! *cries tears of joy*

Looks like the cable to connect my camera to my PC somehow messed it up a bit. Maybe I didn't connect it properly to its port or whatever you call the thingamajig. Or maybe I'm just plain neurotic.

I initially wanted to post an entry about a cute lil something which I demanded got last night in LQ - a pair of Carlsberg electronic dice:

SWEET!!!

Aren't they cool?! You tap them to shuffle through the numbers and eventually, it would stop at a random number. You know, it works just like any other dice except that you don't have to roll them or anything. One tap and let it do it's work. What a cool invention!

Abes Gets A Hang Over

Yup.

I had a record for drinking loads and never getting a hang over the next day. That sad lil record has been shattered after last night's frolic with 3 Flambos (Flaming Lamborghini), 7 jugs of Tiger and 2 buckets of Carlsberg.

Talk about drinking my ass off.

It all started when JJ suggested we go for Flambos followed by beers at Terrace Bar and I happily agreed without knowing what I was in for.

Seb picked me and Xavie up for the night's agenda and made our way to Terrace Bar to meet up with JJ and Zila. While waiting, we decided to have a jug of beer. Soon after we arrived, JJ and Zila arrived and our table had more company than anticipated.

After much hee-hawing, the 3 of us guys (myself, Seb and JJ) ordered our Flambos. We downed each of ours one by one as Xavie hornily snapped pictures. We then had more beers to entertain ourselves.

ROUND 1

A few trips to the loo later, JJ decided to have another Flambo. So did I. And so, we got our drinks and then had more beers. By this time, I was feeling rather tipsy. I was already on my happy way to Drunken Land.

ROUND 2

Steph and Jay popped by to say hello and once again, we were hee-hawing at nothing. After much drinking, Seb's friends, Zena and Harrison joined us for beers and I was forcing everyone to cheers with me. I'm so demanding that way.

2:00AM or so.We were getting bored at Terrace Bar and so ideas were being thrown back and forth as to where to go next. I suggested Liquid. Why? I don't know. Not like anything happens in LQ on a Friday night. Everyone was probably in Frangipani or Zouk for Digweed's gig. LQ was supposed to have some event in conjunction with Madonna's new album release. Typical.

We arrive in LQ not too long after we left Terrace Bar and thankfully, the cover charge period was over and we got in for free. Barely in for 5 minutes, a bucket of Carlsberg was ordered. Here, upon waking up today to multiple headaches and vein popping sensations, I can't recall what exactly happened in LQ. Everything in my mind right now is pretty much a blur.

HOWEVER, I do remember having my THIRD Flambo. This time, the presentation was much better than what we had in Terrace Bar.

ROUND 3

I'm sure a lot happened last night as we were being stupid in LQ but sadly, I can't recall much of them. I woke up this morning and was going through the pictures that Xavie took and honestly, I cannot recall taking those.

Though I got drunk and I'm sure I was all over the place, I did NOT puke. Not even once. I was pretty well behaved, albeit my friends had to make sure I didn't fall into some gaung outside of Central Market while making our way to the car. I apparently thanked some stranger sitting on a ledge outside of CM for "caring". According to witnesses (my Motley Crue), this guy told me to be careful as there were some construction going on around where we were walking - hence, the gaung. I thanked him for the kind gesture. TWICE. I actually walked back to him AGAIN just to thank him and wish him goodnight. Geez.

That brings us to today. I must say, although I woke up with an ear-drum splitting headache, I am "proud" of myself for not making a mess by throwing up on myself or on others. This calls for a celebration. Let's drink to that!

Fleedom

My apologies for not writing a lot for the past days. Been super busy with work and all as boss was preparing for his trip to Europe. He leaves tonight.

And that means: FREEDOM! Yup. He won't be around for 15 days or so and that means I don't have to go to work. Yay for me!

As for the status of my beloved PC, it has been fixed. I reformatted the whole damn thing and re-installed everything. Sure, the nuisance has been rectified but now I gotta resetup my programs and what nots. Mah fun.

I would like to tell you guys all about what has happened over the past few days but I've been coming home tired out from work and by the next morning, I have to rush off again. It has been hell helping my boss to prepare for his trip. We had to settle any outstanding work that needed to be done before he leaves. I had to make a list of things to do upon his return and hell, it was a LOOOOOOOONG list.

I'm not going to think about the things to do. I'm gonna just relax and take it easy for the next 2 weeks. Beers, anyone?

Infected

Oh no.

My damn PC has been infected with various spywares and it's really getting annoying. For one, my PC has become slower than a snail and these infections have caused numerous settings to change and I can't seem to change them back to what they were.

Argh.

This is not happening. I'm currently using Ewido (kudos to James for recommending this. Thanks, dude) and Ad-aware to scan and clear all these nonsense. If you guys know of other better programs, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it. Ewido found 12 infected items and Ad-aware found 82 infected items!! o_O''

Bah! Death to spyware!

I'll Adore You (Lyrics)

By: Lisa Barbuscia
Source: Kiss of the Dragon Soundtrack

I feel you in my sleep
I breathe your breath
I hear you speak
All I miss is the sleep
Your an obsession clouding my mind
Why don't you make up your mind
Walk with me

I'll suggest the place
Only room for two
I've been planning all the things
That I'll do to you

I'll adore you
I'll adore you
I'll adore you

I step onto the edge
Jump with me, into the sea
I have kissed you relentlessly
I feel your naked skin touching mine
Why don't you make up your mind
Walk with me

I'll caress your skin
I'll be there for you
I've been planning all the things
That I'll do to you

I'll adore you
I'll adore you
I adore you

Until you tell me to
I'll never stop, wanting you
Feeling you, breathing you
I have given all of me
All I need is you
To adore you

I'll adore you
I adore you
I'll adore you
I'll adore you
I adore you

Raya Reportings II

Second Day of Raya (4th November 2005)

The second day of Raya was not as hectic as the first day. Woke up pretty late from last night's thani session at Karma, Sri Hartamas with Jay Jay and Alif.

Though I had a lot to eat on the first day, I woke up feeling hungry again. Now, this isn't unusual as I've said, my tummy is a bottomless pit and this sometimes worries me. Maybe I have worms. Plus, I've not taken a dump after eating that much of food and so, I've decided to go for a remedy that never fails - INDIAN FOOD! Yup, various spices from Indian food will sure do the trick.

And so, my cousin Hogs aka Eu Jin and his girlfriend, Mei Yee picked me up and off we went to Sri Devi for our banana leaf lunch. I chowed down on the curries and rasam. Now, I just have to wait for it to do its magic. Sure enough, my stomach began cartwheeling and I was in pain - but a good sort of pain.

After lunch, I got home, did my business and rested to prepare myself for the next glutton fest that awaited me at Jay Jay's house.

5:00PM. I arrive at JJ's place and bersalam-salaman with his family. As usual, his mom would comment on how sharp my nose is.

"Eh hidung Abel maaaaaaancung sangat lah". I blushed a little. "Macam buat plastic surgery lah".
o_O
*Nervous giggle* "Eh heh heh, trime kasih, aunty", I said. "Ah, pegi makan lah. Jangan malu-malu. Makan kuih dulu. Aunty nak masak kantonis mee, ye."

I made my way to the dining table where my friends were waiting still blushing.

A brief history for all you guys. I've been friends with Jay Jay for 16 years now and as little kids, I used to hang out a lot at his place after school and what not. Since waaaay back then, his mom has ALWAYS liked the sharpness of my nose. Come to think of it, his mom has always complimented my nose at EVERY visit. Maybe she has a thing for sharp noses. Lol.

And so, we stuffed our faces once again with various types of food. Everything was glorious as how it should. I didn't eat as much as the previous day as I had a dinner engagement with my boss. Damn.

I promised to tantalise your eyeballs and here they are:

The silly mofos in the flesh:

(Back L-R: Me and Alif; Front L-R: Sashitaran, Huey Bee and Jay Jay)

After the delightful food and silly jokes later, we made way for home and I made my way to see my boss for dinner.

That was pretty much my second day of Raya. I look forward to eating more muahaha! Gluttony is my best friend during this Raya season. Up next, Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year. CNY is a different sin altogether - greed.

Raya Reportings

First Day of Raya (3rd November 2005)

As usual, the first day of Raya is always filled with hussle and bussle of families and friends heading out to visit other family members and friends. This is the beauty of Raya and many other festivities in Malaysia. It doesn't matter whether you celebrate it or not, we all go out visiting anyway.

Every year, Deepavali and Raya has always been exciting for me. Why? Hehe, FOOD! No matter whose house you go to, there's always something to try and stuff your face with. This often results in me over-eating and being too full to walk.

Yesterday, I went visiting to 2 of my buddies' houses. The first house I visited was Nadya's. Picked up my friends and we headed over to Nad's place. We were warmly greeted by her family and we were ushered in to have a seat. We were starving. Seeing all the food laid out on the table almost made me break out in cold-sweat and tried valiantly hard to behave myself.

Then Nad said the magic words, "Makan lah. Cuba rase ni, ni dan ni..."

Her voice trailed off as I ignored her and just started to pile up my plate with rendang daging, ayam, ketupat daun palas, lontong and satay.

Oh my god. It was pure heaven. I kept on eating and eating. Little did I realise, I've already had 4 helpings! So tak malu. Heh, paiseh ^^

Then I realised, I've not even gone over to Alif's house yet! It is my mission to eat at different houses come Hari Raya but I've already gone overboard here in Nadya's house. MUST PRESS ON NO MATTER WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES ARE! *jeng jeng jeng*

So, in order to ease my tummy a bit, we spent a little more time in Nadya's house chit-chatting with her mom just to buy us some time to digest our ballooned up bellies before making our way to Alif's house.

After a few hours, I felt it was safe enough to eat more at Alif's house and so, we said our goodbyes and thank yous to Nad's loving family and headed to Alif's house.

Upon arrival, we realised we could barely make our way to the front gate without stumbling.

We were still full! >_<

There's no turning back now. I must proceed with the annual mission of over-eating.

We made our way to Alif's dining table which had a similar spread in Nad's house. Alif was looking good in his new baju raya fully equipped with sampin and a songkok.

(Back: Charmaine and Alif; Front: Sashitaran and myself)

And so, gluttony took over and we started eating again. Only this time, Alif made trifle! Yum! I love his trifles. They taste so good when you add some milk to it. I concluded that this was the best dessert ever to go with all the heavy rendangs and ketupats.

After barely and hour, we raised the white flag. Our bellies were about to explode. We then decided to chill out with Alif at his place before heading home.

I didn't manage to take pictures of the glorious food we had but hey, today's the second day and we're bound for Jay Jay's house to continue the mission and this time, I will tantalise your eyeballs with pictures of some of the assortment of food prepared ;)

Stop.

All my life, I've tried very hard to be considerate to other people's feelings. I try very hard to treat others the way I want them to treat me. This should be distinguished from me wanting to please others before myself. This is about being CONSIDERATE towards the feelings of others (in this case, ME).

Perhaps I've allowed others to step all over me and yes, that would make it my fault for allowing it to happen in the first place. This has to stop.

I'm tired of putting everyone's feelings on a golden pillow over and above my own bronze one and I just want to not care just for a while. Perhaps I'm a goody-two-frickin'-shoes who doesn't want unnecessary conflicts but I guess this very nature of mine has allowed the situation to take its toll on me.

Enough.

I want this to stop. I would like people to be considerate to MY FEELINGS for a change. Everyone seem to have become very comfortable unloading their emotional baggages on me. Hello, I have my own problems as well.

While we're on the subject of me wanting to be selfish, please DO NOT take me for granted. I may not scream my displeasures into your already failing eardrums but do have the decency to be NICE AND CONSIDERATE and fucking RECIPROCATE! Ever heard of 'one good deed deserves another?' No? Well, learn it now and learn it well.

Starry Starry Night

Paint your pallette blue and grey...

Just thought of that song, for some reason. I'm just sitting in my room staring at my monitor, thinking of how to write what I have inside my tortured soul.

Everything seems to be getting bleak. My heart is getting weaker. As the year draws closer to an end to make way for the new one, I've begun to reminisce on this year's fortunes and misfortunes.

I know it's pretty early to be writing this but I may not be able to remember what I'm thinking now. This year has been a pretty rough year. This is the year that I've experienced loss beyond what my heart can take. It's as if the gods have forsaken me and have left me here to rot in my watery grave of despair. Hope has left me as quickly as it came. Perhaps I've taken more things for granted than I really should. Perhaps this is the year I'm supposed to grow up. So many 'perhaps'.

My heart thumps heavily against the walls of my chest. Its pain cannot seem to be soothed. Panic sets in at all the wrong moments and depression washes over me like the ocean washes on the sandy beach amidst the calm of the air.

Just when I think I've got it all figured out, Pandora's box opens and its horror unleashes upon my unsuspecting already torn heart. One by one, they gnaw at the fabric of my existence and peace of mind. They don't seem to want to let me be.

Waking up everyday seems to be getting harder by each new day. Is there no end to this nightmare? Will I somehow wake up from this horrible dream?

And when no hope was left inside
On that starry starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could've told you, Vincent
This world was never meant
For one as beautiful as you

Perhaps, one day, His Light will shine upon my broken body and tormented mind and by His Will, I'll be taken away from all that binds me to this nightmare.

In just one year, I've lost more than I have gained. Yes, some may say that I am greedy. Some may say I am selfish. Perhaps I am.

"Let ye who have not sinned cast the first stone."

That's right. I'm sure many of you have wanted your whole cake and eat it. And just like me, many of you have bitten off more than you could chew.

As I lay down my head to sleep
I pray to God my soul to keep
And if I die before I wake
I pray to God my soul to take
Amen.

On a lighter note, today is Hari Raya and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf zahir & batin. I wish all (Muslim or otherwise) simply because this is the time to let bygones be bygones. I ask for forgiveness from any of you that I may have offended in the past. Semoga semua dihalalkan.

Butterfly Wings

Thunder looms across the skies
Wanting to be there to dry your eyes
It hurts me so to see you sad
Confide in me and be glad

Though I’ve done some mistakes
Forgive me please, I beg
I’m leaving the past behind
A new life, I want us to find

You’re like my lil’ butterfly
Fluttering so gently above my eye
You give me hope, love and comfort
Never again I want us to be hurt

Float away and find your joy
Don’t you worry; I’ll be your buoy
Butterfly wings is what you are
Gentle is the wind that blows you far

Fly, fly to such great heights
Soar real high but don’t lose sight
You’re beautiful, don’t you know?
Inside you, love is all that grows

Butterfly wings are soft and gentle
One slight touch, you’ll find it’s brittle
Yet it’s strong to carry it high
I thank you, for being in my life
