I Made It

WOOT! I got my results a few days back and I passed all my subjects! All in one sitting. The day I got my results was quite a moment as only 3 of us in the class cleared all subjects whereas the rest (8 of them) had to retake or resit some of the subjects. I'm very happy that I don't have to resit any of it! WOOHOO!

Sorry haven't able to consistently update my blog as work's been quite a handful. As it is, I got home not too long ago from work. Pretty much had a full day but a very productive one.

Yesterday met up with an old friend Raymond and headed to Luna Bar for dinner. 'Twas my first time at Luna and that place is quite a sight to behold. It had a huge swimming pool smack in the middle of the place on the 34th floor! And it's open aired. A shame I didn't have my camera with else, else, the entire blog would've had pictures of it.

After dinner, Ray and I decided to put our vocal chords to the test and had a karaoke session at Redbox in Low Yat Plaza. Karaoke + Beer = Crazy Songs. We pretty much destroyed our voice boxes but it was soooooo fun. Gotta do it again someday hehe.

Well, guess I'll stop here for today. A nice cold shower is very much needed as I can feel my fingers sticking to the keys of my keyboard as I blog this entry. Toodles!

Back To Work

Well, what better way to spend my 2-week break other than having a job? At least I can get some moolah for when I go back to class. Not that it's a lot but it's still money anyway.

Work started today (with my previous employer) and it went very nicely. Surprisingly, this time around, things are better and not as stressed up as before. Well, it's just the first day so I guess I'll have to wait and see where this will take me. Nevertheless, the one thing I remember feeling even the last time and up till now, is being tired. I got back from work early, say, 4pm and I was pooped. Did a lot of walking but it was ratehr fun. Maybe I ate too much during lunch :P

Anyway, I'll let the fatigue set in and take me to Wonderland. Now I better catch some snooze if I want to wake up tomorrow not looking like a zombie. Cheerios!

Woohoo!

YUP! I'm finally done with my exam! Yeah, this post kinda came too late but I was more or less indulging myself in the after-exam syndrome ie. playing WoW like nobody's business, making money on Second Life and most recently, went DVD shopping with my bro to get movies I've missed out on since forever.

Pretty much had a movie marathon with Scary Movie 4, X-Men 3: The Last Stand and Over The Hedge. I must say, I really missed out a lot at the movies. Thank goodness for DVDs and such for people like me haha!

Well, looks like my holidays have started and I have no idea how to spend it. I could go for a brief beach holiday or just stay home and be a potato haha! The beach holiday sounds a hell lot more tempting I must say, albeit, my holiday isn't that long as my results and new term start on the 28th of this month.

Now that the anticipation and gut-wrenching moments of exams have passed, one last hurdle needs to be passed - the results. This would be the moment everyone would be waiting for and hopefully, we all get through to the next year. Looking at my new term's subjects, I can't wait to start. Pretty exciting! Hah! Bet some of you must be wondering whats so fun and interesting about law. Well, I'm weird I guess =P

Back to the movies I've just watched, Scary Movie 4 was a bit over-done and exaggerated. The actors were pretty familiar from the previous instalments of the movie. The usual cast were Anna Faris, Carmen Elektra and Simon Rex (since SM 2, I think). I particularly enjoyed Carmen's role as the blind girl from the The Village parody where she entered the council meeting thinking it was her toilet and started pooping into one of the furniture. The movie did have its funny moments but other than that, it was pretty much over-done and some parts were definitely lame (George Bush's scene at the school). American humour, I guess.

Moving on to X3, the reviews I heard from friends didn't take much liking for the movie. I'd say the movie had lots and lots of nice special effects to indulge in. They definitely made a point to reveal how powerful Ororoe Munroe aka Storm (my fave!) is especially the part where she spun like a tornado emitting electricity and how she fried that lil b**ch who could teleport all over the place. Jean Grey aka Phoenix is particularly evil as compared to the comic / animated series versions. The effects definitely contributed to portray how powerful she actually is (I was however, expecting more mayhem than what was portrayed towards the ending). Although the effects were awesome, I guess the makers were trying to make up for the many loose ends in the movie. That's my little disappointment. There were one too many parts of the movie that was just hanging. For example, they left Scott aka Cyclops' character roundup a bit too long. Sure, he died but it was not until towards the end that they showed his tombstone and concluded that Jean killed him / he had died. AND, they showed Professor X's funeral first without finalising what happened to him. Further, what happened to Raven aka Mystique? She succumbed to the 'cure' and that was the end of it.

The last movie I watched for tonight's marathon was Over The Hedge. Now, this was defintiely a fun movie to watch. It was funny, natural and entertaining. I was amazed at the awesome animation and graphics of the entire movie. Very very well done. Only thing that was kinda 'off' was Avril Lavigne who played the possum offspring to a very dramatic father who thinks 'dying' is the way you 'live' haha! Extreme fun and definitely a worthwhile watch. Two thumbs up!

Well, I'm off to bed now. G'night!

Just ONE More!

Hey guys, looks like I've just got one last paper to sit for and then I'm home free! I'm hoping I won't screw up my paper too badly =P

Today's paper went pretty well albeit, I think I fractured my phallanges trying to finish up 4 essays within 3 hours. All in all I *think* I did a pretty okay job on today's subject. I guess most of my classmates can rest easy since it was the paper they dreaded most - Constitutional law. Some say it's boring but I say it's interesting though it can be a lil bit painful to digest.

The rest of the day went pretty easily for me as I spent most of the time to mentally chill for tomorrow's paper. For the past 3 days (including today), we had to answer 4 freaking questions but for tomorrow, we need only answer 3 so that's somewhat of a relief to our ears (and our fingers!). Answering 4 questions can be quite a feat if one has an obsession for neatness. I hope my examiners would be able to read my 'cakar ayam' handwriting. From cursive, my handwriting probably turned out to be doodles of Madonna and her cone-shaped breast costumes.

Oh well, time to take a much needed cold shower to beat the heat and do some reading before crashing out. English legal system, I am going to eat j00!

2 Down And 2 To Go!

Phew, another day of exam has ended. I've got 2 more papers to go before I can indulge in letting myself loose haha! No, I don't mean that kind of loose -.-"

Today's paper definitely went better than yesterday's. No sneezing and no nose bleeds, thank goodness! Don't want to stain my booklet with bloody snot. That would just gross my examiner out.

Other than my exam, the day went pretty okay. Got myself home and helped mom with a bunch of banking errands and came home and played a little bit of WoW before the server goes down for maintenance. Had an early dinner and now feeling a tad sleepy hehe. Gotta read up tonight to prepare myself for another day. Been telling myself to hang in there for just another 2 days and soon it will all be over. I don't need to score A's. All I need is to pass this exam and I'm on my way to 2nd year. Plus, lecturer gave out my next term's timetable. Talk about being pro-active and optimistic that everyone would make it haha! Well, one can only hope :)

Constitutional law, here I come!

1 Down And 3 To Go!

Ahhh... first paper done with 3 more in line. By this Thursday, I'd be a free man! Haha! For only 2 weeks though since the next semester starts on the 28th of August *cry*

Today's exam didn't go as well as I thought it would. First of all, I was sneezing the entire morning and had a runny nose the whole time during the exam. To make it worse, it bled throughout the whole exam too. I was pretty much on the verge of passing out in the exam hall and my lecturer had this scared look in her face. This has never happened before in my life of taking exams. It was either the weather that was making me wonky or I wasn't feeling too well. Then again, I'd place my money on the weather today as it was freaking hazy! It's either there was a bush fire somewhere or some ignorant fucker burning rubbish. Given the mentality of some people, my guess would be the ignorant fucker.

I remember one time during one of the worst haze in my life a couple a years back, I went by a few houses in my neighbourhood and guess what I saw? Yup, some housewife was openly burning rubbish and dried leaves! Apparently our already clogged up lungs from the smog coming from Indonesia wasn't enough. She had to contribute to the happy haze environment. Wish I was older back then to walk up to her and shove her face into the burning mound.

Oh well, guess it's time for me to hit the sack and brace myself for another day at the exam hall. Criminal Law here I come! w00t!

Neglect

Well HELLO! It seems to have been ages since I last blogged (6 months to be exact). Yup, I've been pretty much neglecting this blog for that amount of time. Well, a LOT has happened in the past 6 months. Some good, some bad. Well, I'd like to say more bad happened but that's just being unhealthily pessimistic. Let us all be romantically optimistic, shall we?

As some of you may know, I've been fighting my neuroticism and my bouts of depression since forever. Hasn't been 6 months of bed of roses, I'll admit, but I'm glad I've moved on from that shit hole of a soul-eating void onto greener pastures. If there's such a thing. I'll make a breakdown just to recap what has happened in my wonderful existence.

Depression

I've moved on and have accepted things that I cannot control or change. Things happen in my life for a reason albeit it was hell going through it. But something important transpired out of the whole sh'bang - I survived. During this dark period, I almost lost people dearest to me - my friends. Some stayed away from me like I was the bringer of the Plague of Death. But for all its worth, it was a good thing they did. I was not exactly in the right frame of mind for company. With their absence and without them pampering me and consoling me 24/7, I managed to understand the fact that some problems are just meant to be dealt alone. Sounds sad and pathetic but it's true.

College

Ironically, I start blogging today when I should be burying my nose in them books. I've got an exam tomorrow. Finals for my 1st year law degree. I'm just looking forward to it ending and moving on to 2nd year. Wish me luck!

R.I.P.

Just last week, my uncle succumbed to the clutches of cancer. He was 82 if I recall correctly. It was expected as he has been suffering for a pretty long time. God rest his soul.

Surgery

Yup, I had a minor surgery to remove my appendix. Hurt a great deal. Then again, I'm not one with a wide threshold for pain. Was hospitalised in Assunta Hospital for about 4 days. And no, there weren't any hot nurses. Mobility was greatly reduced and I was deprivde of nicotine for that duration. Imagine my joy when Mr Dunhill (woot!) greeted me back home.

Futsal is LETHAL

YES IT IS! Just last week, my bro went for a game of futsal with his company and KAPOW! He fell and fractured his back bone. Fortunately for him, he was not paralysed or anything and no surgery was required. It is still a mystery as to how he fell. He got to ride in an ambulance which, he said was pretty cool. Well, little did he know, I was panicking my balls off trying to figure out what to do next as parents were away in Singapore attending my uncle's funeral. All's good now. He has been hospitalised for a week now and today he gets to come home.

That pretty much sums up the going ons in my not-so-exciting life. It's back to the books for me now. Hope I won't go into my neglect-my-blog phase again. Till next time, toodles!
