Blog Got Screwed

I have no idea what happened.

I tried to load my blog and my background and layout got fucked. All I see is plain crappy format:

Anyone care to help? Is it Blogger or did my codes get screwed up?

Ironic

Don't you just hate it when good things are about to happen but the timing is just so fucking unfortunate? It's just not fair sometimes!

I'm currently going through a phase in my life where irony plays a huge role in my daily adventures (it's like rain on your wedding day!). Hence the inconsistency in my blogging.

The past week and this one have been rather erratic and all over the place. So many things happening at the same time I have no clue what to make of it.

To sit here and recall what has happened and put them into words is just too much for the tiny lil thing in my head - my brain - can or want to handle. I'll blog properly soon once I've sorted things out :)

Now where is my Alanis CD...

Look Ma, No Hands!

Check this out guys. I'm not sure how real this is but it's a damn neat trick. Also, the person who perfected this trick must be damn lazy to bend down to tie his own shoelaces haha!

Huff And Puff

Woke up feeling lazy at first. One of those days where you just feel like staying in bed and not having to move a single muscle for the rest of the day.

Dragged my lazy ass out of bed for a nico stick and also for a shower and lunch. Bro and I grabbed lunch at our usual spot and just when I was finishing up with lunch, Charmaine text me to have lunch as well. So I decided to accompany her for lunch.

Picked her up and off we went to Sri Devi. At the same time, a brilliant plan was concocted - going to the TTDI park with her dog, Fluffy and Xavie's dog, Bandit (aka The Rapist / Sexual Predator). You'll know what I mean soon.

Got ourselves to TTDI and off we started on our journey through the slopes and gravel. And Bandit (a male) could not take his eyes of Fluffy (a female) at all - hence the nicknames. Needless to say, Xavie had a rather hard time dragging the poor lil sexed up dog away from Fluffy, who couldn't care less about Bandit haha! They're both cute dogs. Still, Bandit was totally hyped up with Fluffy. Huffing and puffing whenever he got near to her. On heat lah this one. Fluffy maintained her cool, elegant poise by snubbing him and went on her merry way.

Too bad I did not have my camera with me to take pics of the moments Bandit tried to take advantage of Fluffy. Too cute can die. Will post some that were taken by Aaron's phone when I get the chance.

At times, we had to carry Fluffy during some parts of our walk. Let's face it - Shih-tzus are not made for walking. They're made to be home ornaments where they can just sit there and look cute and fluffy all day long.

Our walk was much entertaining because of Bandit's endless attempts to have a sniff of Fluffy's ass. 'Twas indeed a good work out.

We made way for home and now I have to recuperate for a tentative plan to bring Adam and co. to Batu Caves early tomorrow morning. Not sure how that's going to work out since they've got to sort out the hotel arrangements as well.

They're Here! They're Here!

Yay! Today's the day Adam and co. arrive from London.

Headed over to KLIA to pick them up (cos I'm the nicest guy in the world ;P) but their flight got delayed and so I was stuck there for roughly 2 hours. Wasn't that bad. Just tired from doing nothing haha! Seeing the many tourists getting into taxis, it certainly made me feel that it is Visit Malaysia 2007.

2 hours later, I met up with Adam, Gaz and Jen and attempted to stuff their luggage into my puny Wira. Finally got them in and off we went to KL to check in at their hotel.

Originally, we thought that they were supposed to be staying at the Marriott but turned out it was at the Renaissance. By the time it was realised, I had already dropped them off at the Marriott and was actually trying to look for a place to park and join them at the hotel. Then I got an sms from Adam saying that they were at the wrong hotel and they were supposed to be at the Renaissance.

Alamak. I was already stuck in the middle of the BB jam. Adam and co. hopped into a cab and headed to Renaissance and I was to meet them there.

Oh my God! I really really am bad with KL roads. I actually got LOST!! No surprise for many of you who know me -__-"

I ended up on Jalan Ipoh or something and next thing I knew, I was in some ghetto area of KL. Creepy shit. I had to call Tiny to get directions and turns out, I had to get back on Jalan Sultan Ismail.

Great. I was in the middle of Creepyville and the road signs were bloody confusing. Finally, I got an sms from Adam telling me Renaissance is somewhat next to Concorde and I felt relieved.

Next thing I knew, I saw a sign saying Jalan Sultan Ismail is to the left and I made a mad dash for it and lo and behold, Renaissance was right in view. Phew! Good thing that didn't take long. Cannot tahan KL roads at all. So confusing.

After resting for a bit, we headed off for dinner at Vicchuda, Damansara Utama to give Gaz and Jen a taste of some Malay food. Seeing what we ordered contained a fair amount of chilli, we had to warn them what to eat and what not to eat. Basically stay away from the sambal belacan and cili padi! Dinner went well albeit it was a tad pricey.

Everyone was pretty exhausted - me from being out the whole day and Adam and co. from their 14-hour odd flight. Dropped them off at the hotel and made my way for home. Yarabi I cannot feel my legs >__<"

Pooped

Rawr!

Had a rather "productive" day with Tiny. When I say productive I mean I did something out of the usual - going to Low Yatt Plaza.

Woke up slightly earlier than usual to shower up and prepare for the day ahead. Got dressed and headed out to pick Tiny for lunch at his sister's restaurant before making our way to town.

Arrived at Bukit Bintang area and was quite surprised to see that the sidewalk of BB wasn't thronging with people as it normally would. Especially not on a Friday afternoon. Maybe we were early or maybe people got sick of that place.

Many emergency brakes later (yay for Malaysian drivers!), we finally arrived at our destination. Just for the record, I hate LY's basement parking. It's always dark, creepy and stinky. Got ourselves a parking at some godforsaken spot and headed up.

But first, we had to take a whiz and headed for the toilet. There on the wall in black, bold ink were the words - RM1 PREMIUM TOILET.

Wah, what's so premium about it? Then we found out as we entered. The toilet was REALLY clean and dry. Very premium indeed. At least we breathe easy knowing that our RM1 contribution is going to good use and not to the kakak's teh tariks and kuehs.

Being PJ inhabitants, we were practically tourists in Low Yatt but finally managed to get around. After rounding the place a couple of times for price lists for Gaz, we finally made our way for home. Plus, didn't want to hang around too much. Parking is bloody expensive in there - RM2 for the first hour and another RM2 for the subsequent hour. Cut throat ok.

The best part about our KL trip is that we didn't get caught in any of the jams / lunch hour / Friday prayer hour congestion that we anticipated. So that's good. Going home was smooth and easy.

We also decided to fit our gym routine in since we were done with KL so early. Got a fairly good work out and headed for home.

Now I'm just exhausted from today's activities. Goes to show how unfit I am -_-"

Meet Many People In Bangsar Day!

Just got back not too long ago from my 7-hour long visit to Bangsar. The plan was to initially have yum char with Joshy and Mark at Devi's Corner but oh boy did plans change.

So I got to Bangsar (had to park bloody far cos there weren't any parking nearby) at about 3ish and made my way to Devi's when I got a phone call from Joshy to meet at Social instead. Ok lah what the heck right? I'm damn pokai lah but Joshy and Mark were nice enough to belanja me :p

I thought we were just gonna hang out at Social when they decided to go bar hopping. And we did for about 7 hours. Bumped into James along the road and he too was off to meet some friends for drinks. James went off his merry way and the rest of us decided to head to D'haven for some happy hours (as if not happy enough already lol!). Found out Steph was yum charring herself with Willy and another friend at Pelita. Dropped by to say hi for a bit and headed back to D'haven.

As we happily gulped our poisons, a familiar face walked by and lo and behold it was Stacy and Rama. Stace joined us for a bit and chit chatted as the sky turned from day to night in almost an instant. See, screwed up weather. Stace then left to meet some friends at Starbucks.

So after having had our beers, I decided to ring James up to see where he is and yup, he was just opposite the road at T-Club and yup, we left D'haven to continue at T-Club with some more beers and whiskey. There I met JIJI!!! Oh wow I've not seen this woman for the longest time. It's good to finally see her again after all this time. We did a little bit of catching up and we hung out there for what seemed to be an eternity. Joshy and Mark's friend, Lin joined us later and next thing I knew, tequila shots were going around. I had to decline cos I had to drive back [insert shocked and horrified expressions here].

Yeah, the last place I was at was at T-Club before heading for home at 10pm. We were having so much fun that I didn't even realise it had started to rain. Thank goodness I brought my faithful brolly along (and dear ol Joshy thought I brought it to shield myself from the sun -__-)

What I planned to be a simple and casual yum char session turned out to be an all-out drinkfest. And I kinda liked how it turned out :)

Bzzzzz

Well now, I'm just not used to seeing such short posts. It's so unlike me :p

To start off, let's recap (as far as my memory can serve) Sunday's events. Hogs, Mei Yee and I did go for our walk at the TTDI park. Of course, being unhealthy people that we are, we started heaving and panting right at the entrance of the park -__- very not the rakan muda. Very cannot majukan sukan untuk negara. 'Twas fun nonetheless.

Fast forwarding to Monday, nothing exciting happened. Just the usual workout routine with Tiny. There was this girl at the gym who comes in and freaking hogs the treadmill. This wasn't the first time. The first time we saw her there, we waited for a whole freaking hour to use it but couldn't cos she was still using it. Very very inconsiderate. Stupid bitch.

This time, we were early and we planned to hog it if she came. And to our delight, she did. Tiny and I decided to take turns using the treadmill so she won't have the chance to use it. Hah! Serves her right. She was totally lost not having to use it. She "tried" to use the other equipment but failed cos she didn't know how to use them. Tiny and I laughed under our breaths seeing how stupid she looked. Yea we sound mean but people like her don't deserve courtesy since she doesn't know what it means in the first place. Bodoh.

Well, as you all knew, Mom's birthday was yesterday and thank you all for your kind wishes :)

We brought her out for a nice Western dinner at Jack's Place, One Utama. Not too shabby and the steaks are good too. As usual, mine came oozing with blood YUM! :P

I successfully grossed my mom out by showing her how raw the inside of the steak was :p

That brings us to today. Went for lunch with Charmaine and had a good heart-to-heart talk about things that were long overdue. Was supposed to head to Low Yatt with Steph to run some errands and meet Joshy for a drink but had to take a rain check to out sort some stuff.

And here I am now all sticky and sweaty from the humid weather.

Who wants to smell me? :P

A Day Without Sun

I'm feeling extremely groggy and lethargic for some reason. It's either the gloomy atmosphere and cool air or I'm falling sick. I'm really hoping it's the former.

As I sit here in my bedroom with eyes glued to the monitor and a cancer stick in my mouth, my head is spinning as I try to decide what to do for the rest of the day. There's no squash today (booo!) and most likely, no badminton either. The contingency workout plan would be the 4km walk at the TTDI park.

Seeing how groggy and wonky I feel, I hope it happens. The weather's awefully tempting to sleep in. Also hoping that it doesn't rain again. It was raining the whole night last night right up till this morning. I wonder if anyone's building an ark...

On another issue, Adam, Gaz and Jen will be flying in from the UK next Saturday for their 3 week visit to Malaysia and I'm gonna play Mr. Tourguide / Taximan (YAY!). Also coming to KL is JOSHY POSHY! Josh is flying in on the 19th from Adelaide. Josh, if you're reading this, you better remember to give me a call. Then we can sekali harung hang out with Adam and co. I'm praying I don't get us lost in the streets of KL considering how poor my knowledge of KL roads is.

*fingers crossed*

Sigh. For now, gonna rest up and hope I feel better before my walk in the park with Hogs and Mei Yee. Toodles!

Yaaaawwnnnn...

It's been awhile since I set foot into Frangipani. Last I did was with I-vy, Radin and Dena. That was like in February. So I decided to revisit that place last night with a few friends.

That place hasn't changed a bit. Same ol' crowd and same ol' music. But it was certainly fun hanging out again. I didn't have much to drink but I still hate the groggy and dehydrated feeling I'm having now.

I think my workout routine's going well and people were complimenting on how good I looked last night after not seeing me for months *proud* ^__^

A funny thing happened when I was there. We were having drinks by the bar near the DJ console and I had to pee. Badly. So I made my way through the crowd towards the toilet and there was this skyscraper of a man (clearly mabuk already) dancing in my way. I tried to squeeze my way thru and he was deliberately dancing IN my way (is this some pickup thing?) and blocking my way. My ice bitch mode came on (I REALLY had to pee!) and looked straight into his eyes and coldly said, "Skiuz me" and threw him a piercing dart from my eyes. He sheepishly moved out of the way. I mean, nak ngorat tuh, biarlah betul. Orang nak kencing la.

Oh yea, Chef Wan was there too. And wow, he's loud. I was getting a beer from the bar where he was seated and man he was blaring into my ears as he talked to his friends and exchanging the occassional cheek kisses. He seemed nice la but loud.

There was, this really really really cute guy that caught my attention. He was clearly a twink and his mannerism screamed a bottom. But really cute. Nice to look at. Then.. I found out who his boyfriend was.. oh. my. god. his boyfriend was this fat ape dude who was well, really fugly unattractive (yes I sound shallow now but you had to be there). I later learnt that the cute guy's holy mother of fat pudgy boyfriend was rich and also a royalty. Nuff' said. Seriously, I was Brad Pitt in comparison to that guy minus the money and the outriders and bodyguards.

Night ended well and we all made our way for home. And here I am awake at such an early hour because my bladder was bursting and feeling groggy and dehydrated. Hungry too. I hope I don't pancit later when I go for badminton with Xavie.

I Finally Did It

Yup, after weeks of planning and procrastinating (and cancelling due to weather conditions), I finally swam today. The experience was unexpected since it felt like I was swimming in a bucket of ice. Yes it was coooooooooooold! Did 2 laps and gave up cos it wasn't fun trying to swim and shivering in the water at the same time :(

On another issue, what is up with MSN and/or Streamyx? Are they both fucked up or is it just one of them? Various friends of mine seem to be having issue with their internet, myself included.

I am inclined to blame Streamyx cos it is usually their fault. I used to call their so-called helpline but I think after having made hundreds of phone calls made to them and making them cry, I've lost the will to scold. Besides, not good for my blood pressure.

Their bosses are probably taking all our money and gallavanting with it. And now, they're promoting their 4MB connection. Fuckers. I upgraded from 512K to 1MB and frankly, no difference except for the price. On top of that, their announcements on their website always seem to reflect some sort of "upgrade" or "maintenance" to serve us better. Bollocks. Eat shit and die, assholes. Upgrade my ass lah. It's most likely a term they prefer to use to replace "OMG WE FUCKED IT UP AGAIN BUT LET'S JUST LIE TO OUR CUSTOMERS AND SAY WE'RE DOING A GOOD THING FOR THEM BUT ACTUALLY WE CAN'T BE BOTHERED"

Idiots.

Let us hope that Maxis bucks up and goes all out with their broadband services. It's time that Streamyx's monopoly comes to an end. Die, motherfuckers!

It's Alive!!

My modem, that is.

I just got back from what was supposed to be a brief yum char session with Tiny and Zila at the coffee shop down the road of my house.

We got stuck there because the rain decided to imprison us inthe coffee shop. The lightning sure made it fun (I hate lightnings, by the way).

There I was enjoying my plate of char kuey teow when the sky fell and unleashed its fury on us unsuspecting customers.

Tiny: Ahh this kind of rain sure won't be long wan

Rubbish.

Millions of beads of terror fell from the sky and almost banjir-ed the roads. I bet KL is having a gleeful time with mud and debris floating all over the place.

While we were enjoying the torrential rain and lightning fest, the power tripped THREE times! And guess who was just seated below the power box? Me.

Nasib didn't get fried like the fried kuey teow I was having.

Before I Sleep...

Hahahaha! This comic reminded me so much of a conversation I had with Steph, Leo and Xavie after my first experience with the Nintento Wii.

After having played Wii Tennis a bit too enthusiastically (till the point of pain), I commented on how we'd have one arm bigger than the other if we played for too long... This comic just brought it a step further hahaha!

Credits to GU Comics (They have cool comics there :D)

Brands That Say More Than Needed

First of all I must thank I-vy for these pictures.
Maybe they need to rethink some marketing strategies...

Would you like some glitter and a feather boa with your cake?

I'm sure this is nothing new... but still...

Aww man, this just looks wrong

Annnnnd the BEST of all...

The word 'petpet' can easily be mistaken for the malay lingo 'pepet / pepek' which means 'vagina'. Then again, most of us prefer to see it as 'vagina' rather than a brand / product haha!

I-vy and I were having a conversation about this and she asked me to do a little task - translate the brand's catchphrase into English which reads - Mimpi Indah Semalaman Bersama Petpet! Si Manja Girang, Ayah Riang, Ibu Senang.

If we replace the word 'petpet' for vagina we get a very suggestive catchphrase for diapers - Sweet Dreams All Night With Vagina... Baby's happy, Dad's having fun, Mom's easy.

I'm Very Crever

The day started out alright. My sleep pattern seems to be returning to 'normal'. I use the apostrophes cos I don't think sleeping by 3AM is normal for most :p

Just got back from gym not too long ago just when it started to rain. Our weather's seriously messed up (I'd like to use kind words when referring to it. Don't want to kena sambar petir one day).

Just yesterday I was talking to Tiny about Michael Backman's column on Malaysia and he posed me a rather interesting question - "If channeling our funds to infrastructures could be done away with, which avenue should the money go to?"

My first answer was education and I continued to suggest that perhaps our medical research projects. The reason for this is that our funds could be used to benefit Malaysians across the board and funding medical researches could mean locally produced vaccines and/or other medicines rather than outsourcing such projects that would incur heavy costs.

Of course, I said these things out of sheer opinion and point of view. Then, when I was browsing thru The Star Online last night, here's what caught my attention - 'Need To Make Our Own Vaccines' (The Star Online, 13 June 2007)

So yes, I'm very crever. Haha!

Who knows, maybe I'll write a thesis on Malaysia and its policies for my Masters or Doctorate one day *wishful thinking*

Hugo-OMFG-Boss

Well, the day went pretty well. Weather was the fuzziest I've ever seen. One minute bright and sunshiny-till-the-point-of-burning-my-eyeballs and the next dark and gloomy.

BUT the best part of the day was my mom.

So we were sitting in the living room watching Friends on Star World and of course, the usual ads came on. Only one got my mom's attention - the new Hugo Boss ad featuring Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Mom: *SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAL* MY BOYFRIEND!!

Me: OMG?! O_O

Mom: He's sooooooooooo sexy! (I think she drooled a bit when she said it)

Me: Uh umm yeah ok.

Mom: Why aren't you that sexy?

Me: (What the.. WHAT?!) *clears throat* I will be one day! You'll see!

Mom: WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!

T____T"

Nothing like the support of your loving mom eh? *cry*

I have to admit, Jonathan Rhys Meyers is hot. I could die in his eyes.

Malaysia Boleh or Malaysia Bodoh?

What say you?

As we all know, our country is plagued with allegations of corruption and nepotism fiascos. It is no wonder that Malaysia is still considered a third-world country. Sure, this may not be an interesting topic to blog about but I personally feel that Malaysia can do so much better.

In light of what has been going on in the newspapers such as the Lina Joy case, allegations of corruption, kissing couples in the KLCC park, what dresscode should be adhered to in Parliament and many more ridiculous "important" matters that our leaders like to conjure during their mamak teh tarik breaks, isn't it amazing how this country hasn't gone to hell yet?

Before the ISA breaks down my door and haul me off to prison for inciting the country, I'd like to point out that I love this country and I acknowledge the fact that we have indeed come a long way from what it has been 50 years ago. However, having that said, we cannot deny that our country can and must do better.

This post is fitting considering we are fast approaching to celebrating our country's 50th anniversary of independence. Question to be asked is have Malaysia and fellow Malaysians grown over the past 50 years?

I personally feel that yes, we have grown a great deal since 50 years ago. Granted that many speculations to Mahathir's credibility are flying about, we must agree that he did put Malaysia on the map. Something which all Malaysians should be grateful for.

What got me started on this issue? Well, I was reading an interesting article by Michael Backman who is an internationally renowned writer and columnist who specialises in various issues that surround Asia. He has written columns on Malaysia and I feel that it is a must-read for Malaysians.

After reading his views and opinions, I really do feel that he is the voice most Malaysians have been looking for. In his 'Boleh or Bodoh Column' (The Age, 15 November 2006), I could not help but agree with his views. Yes, our government has a horrible habit of spending ridiculous amounts of tax payers' money for nonsense. All for what? To prove that Malaysia Boleh or Malaysia Bodoh? You be the judge.

The one thing that was not included in this article is our recent RM2 million public self-cleaning toilet since the article was written prior to the construction of such an extravagant useless piece of metal. It is things like this that makes me wonder what goes on in our leaders' rusty clockwork of a brain. Instead of trying to prove to the whole world that Malaysians are too stupid to use a toilet properly, that RM2 million could've been used to EDUCATE morons who piss on the walls and shit in urinals! What we fundamentally need is proper EDUCATION and NOT some machine that only encourages people to be lazy!

Another issue in Backman's 'Education, Rafidah and other matters' (The Age, 29 November 2006) column is how our schools lack proper education system (which, is archaic today in my opinion) and how funds OUGHT to be pumped to the right avenues to improve it.

I could not agree more.

I am very sure a lot of us who have attended government schools would agree that upon reaching higher education, high school education was a worthless piece of crap and that we learn MORE in private colleges / unis that would actually be useful in our everyday lives.
Learning is largely by rote. In an email to me last week, one Malaysian recalled her schooling as being in a system “all about spoon-feeding, memory work and regurgitation. Students are not encouraged to think for themselves and they become adults who swallow everything they're told.”
Do you not agree?

It is amazing how we turned out. I would have to agree that most Malaysians spend their adult life trying to undo the damages that have been inflicted because of the current system. Given that I am still studying, I can actually see it in action in my class and even in myself.

Before I conclude this post, I'd like to urge you guys to at least have a read of how a foreigner such as Backman sees Malaysia. You may or may not agree and/or feel that the issues discussed are sensitive but it is an eye-opener. It's about time we crawled out of our tempurungs and find a way to improve the conditions that may plague our country.

For the Malaysians who have no clue how our national anthem goes, for the love of God, learn it. You live in Malaysia and the very least you can do for your country is know the words to 'Negaraku'!

Finally

Wow I can finally post something properly. Connection seems to have improved today. The weekend was just a slugfest with crappy connection.

Watched Shrek 3 on Saturday afternoon at GSC Midvalley. Gotta say, the movie was a disappointment. Sure, there were some funny bits here and there but some movies are just better off with Part 1 and 2. Or maybe just Part 1. Pirates 3 was the same deal.

After the movie, we did a lil walking around Midvalley before heading off to meet my brother for drinks at Dharoos, Uptown. The regular spot for tea and a high dosage of sugar. For dinner, we headed to Kuchai Lama for some 'Ming Tien' style dinner at the Kuchai Lama Food Court (KLFC). Man, Kuchai Lama is.. not a place I want to live in haha! It's too Chinesey for me :p

My Saturday nite was concluded with a drinking get-together with Hogs, Mei Yee, Tiny and Tits at my place.

Sunday was slow moving at first. Woke up from a very unrestful sleep. You know, the kind where you feel as if you never slept the night before. Had lunch and tried to take a nap before squash but that didn't work. So I thought, fug it and just exhaust myself senseless and maybe I could sleep soundly at night.

Came home for dinner and headed out again amidst the pouring rain to pick Hogs and Mei Yee up for my second dinner. Since the rain was torrential, we decided to eat somewhere in Uptown.

As expected, I was totally physically exhausted from the day's activities and decided to get an early night's rest. For the past few nights, I could not sleep properly for some strange reason. My body is tired but my mind is having its own party and as a result, I only fall asleep an hour after tossing and turning in bed. Really sucks.

Well, today's a new day and my body's still aching from squash. I think I sprained my right hand. My thumb moves and feels funny. Meh.

Oh well, gotta head out for lunch and to the gym. Must not break the routine :p

I Double, Triple Dare You

Here's to the closets.

I found out about this video clip thru my cousin and so I did a little search on Youtube and omg it's funny.

Given how conservative our Asian culture is, I'm sure such behaviour will be greeted with a big slap in the face and dear ol' daddy throwing your tiny heiny out the house. Or if Asian dads were like this guy in the video, he'd take the rifle off the wall and fire warning shots into our medula.

Hahaha funny nonetheless :p

I must say, it made my day a tad less boring.

Bored Out of My Ass

I am. I am. I am.

No routine today, it rained and I'm just left with the silence of my sanity.

Results Are Out!

Wooot! The results for my finals are finally out. It was due to be out on the 11th but I guess they brought it forward. Even better. After about a week of suspense, I'm happy to know that I've passed all the papers except for one. It's really no big deal since I already expected it.

I am most relieved for company law which was a total bitch and I was hoping, wishing and praying that I would get through it so I won't have to resit the damn subject.

Now I'll just have to wait for the day to resit for that one paper and start preparations for my Australian program. I'm pretty excited.

Apart from that, my day went pretty well. Started out slow and lazy at first but made myself go to the gym for a workout. I remember my instructor from Fitness First telling me back then, "To have a great body, it is 70% discipline / determination and 30% physical effort / workout". I'm sooo glad I went ahead with my gym plan. Feeling much better and guilt-free.

To top it off, mom is making me STEAK tonight! Woohoo! Turns out, she CAN take a hint haha! She's even making it medium well so it'll all be juicy with blood. Haha sounds gross but it's awesome :p

Lagu Frust Menonggeng

Emoes!!

Title: Happy Ending
Artist: Mika
Album: Life In Cartoon Motion

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
Then live the rest of our life,
But not together.

Wake up in the morning, stumble on my life
Can't get no love without sacrifice
If anything should happen, I guess I wish you well
A little bit of heaven, but a little bit of hell

This is the hardest story that I've ever told
No hope, or love, or glory
Happy endings gone forever more
I feel as if I'm wastin'
And I'm wastin' everyday

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
Then live the rest of our life,
But not together.

2 o'clock in the morning, something's on my mind
Can't get no rest; keep walkin' around
If I pretend that nothin' ever went wrong, I can get to my sleep
I can think that we just carried on

This is the hardest story that I've ever told
No hope, or love, or glory
Happy endings gone forever more
I feel as if I'm wastin'
And I'm wastin' everyday

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
Then live the rest of our life,
But not together.

A Little bit of love, little bit of love
Little bit of love, little bit of love

I feel as if I'm wastin'
And I'm wastin' everyday

This is the way you left me,
I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory,
No Happy Ending.
This is the way that we love,
Like it's forever.
To live the rest of our life,
But not together.

I've Got The Sneezes

*AHCHOOOO!*

Bah, I've got the sniffles.

The day started out alright. Met up with Tiny and Zila for a drink before heading to the gym for a short work out. Initially planned to walk in TTDI but the weather hasn't been too accomodating. Plus, I suddenly started sneezing for like an entire day. It's sooo freaking irritating with fluids coming out of my nose like a leaky tap >___<

The cold kinda spoilt most of the day cos I had to carry around supplies of tissue just so I don't leave a trail of mucus all over the place. Yuck.

I just got back from a yum char session with Xavie, Steph and Charmaine and boy was it fun. My handphone is now officially female thanks to Steph's squishy heart-shaped stickers that she stuck on the edge of the earpiece. Looks like it has tiny hair pins.

And yes, she's proud of it -____-"

Maybe I should attach a phallic-shaped sticker to her handphone... Hmmm...

Here's To The Weekend!

Hoo boy didn't I just have the best weekend ever!

Ok let's see... On Friday, the night was well spent with Kel Li, Mikel of Splashmilk, Hogs and Mei Yee at William's. We had a great time exchanging ghost stories and the lil dramatic fun with the flying cockroaches. Good Lord they need to really do something about that place. Eeugh!

Saturday was a bit slow moving at first but had a great blast during lunch with Charmaine, Xavie, Aaron, Hogs, Jay, Stephanie and Leo. Later that night, I had a tiny get-together with Hogs, Mei Yee, Tiny and James outside of my porch with alcohol to accompany the cool night. What a great night of random jokes and racial remarks haha! Twas really, really fun!

Sunday was perhaps the highlight of the week. Hogs, Mei Yee and I initially planned for a good walk at the Taman Tun park for the evening but that plan went to hell when the evening was rudely interrupted with lightning and rain that could've drowned us on the way to the car. In the end, we decided to have a game of squash at Mei Yee's aunt's place and oh. my. god. it was hell lots of fun! Mei Yee's cousin Patrick joined us to give us a few pointers about the game since the three of us were completely clueless.

I never knew squash was a lot of fun. Even more fun than badminton. So yup, squash is now a game I'd like to play regularly and as such, we're going to make it a point to play it every Sunday! Woohoo! Xavie, if you're reading this, NOW I know how much fun the game is. Feel free to call me for a game or two ;D

After playing for 3 hours or so, we adjourned for home to shower and up and headed for a hearty dinner at Rasta, TTDI.

As I'm typing this, I'm just in the best mood to sleep. Having had all the endorphins pumping through my system, I conclude the weekend to be one of the best!

Now I can't wait for next weekend! Looks like my routine for the holidays is getting the right kick-start! ^____^

WTF?! Part II

Funny conversation that happened last night. My house phone rings and I answered it.

Me: Hello?

Lady: Hello, may I speak to Robert, please? (Robert's my dad)

Me: Oh I'm sorry, he just went out. May I ask who's calling?

Lady: Oh I see. I'm so-and-so. How are you?

Me: Oh hi. I'm good, thank you.

Lady: That's good. Actually, I'm calling to find out your address. You see, something happened (I don't remember what it was she said) and I my phone book got destroyed and as a result, I do not have your home address. My son's getting married this weekend.

Me: Ah I see.

Lady: Yeah, so I'd like to extend my invitation to you. So, do you think you and your husband can make it this weekend?

O_O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me: *muffled laughter and snickers* (OMG!!!!!) Uhhh, mmff, could you just hold on a sec?

Lady: Sure!

OMG wtf?! She thought I was my mom?! I passed the call to my mom and explained the scenario and she laughed her head off. Omg, I DO NOT sound like a woman!
